Internet Safety

What you know about the topic before your research:
- I know that it is important to have internet safety. You have to be careful when you download anything from the internet because it can be very dangerous for your computer and for you.

What you wonder or questions you have about the topic before researching:
- How do I know if my computer is being hacked?
- What else is related to internet safety?
- Why would someone give their phone number, address, etc to a stranger?

Links to where you found the most useful information:
How do I know if my computer is being hacked?
What else is related to internet safety?
Why would someone give their phone number, address, etc to a stranger?

Bullet list of things you learned about the topic:
- Even though you can stay safe if you don't give out personal information and being careful with the things you download from the internet, you are still not completely safe. Links like this one give you cellphone numbers of people. It may not give you the one you want, but it will give you people's numbers.
- People not only hack you with the camera but also just the computer. They see everything you do on your computer.
- The internet is never safe. People can look for anything that has to do with you and you can be found.
- On research tabs, you can have a simple spelling mistake and something totally different of what you wanted to find, appears.
 - People don't see the danger of internet. Some of them just give their numbers out publicly to any stranger cause they think they're going to start dating. It may happen, but there is also a risk of getting robbed, the person might be a pedophile, or just a pervert. It is NEVER safe to give out personal information.
- You always have to be checking the settings of your computer to see if something is going on. To see if someone is hacking you or just watching you.

A short summary of how this topic connects/relates to you or your life:
- This relate to my life, because I always have to be safe and have to be aware of what I'm doing online. I have to be checking to see if there are viruses, people hacking my computer or just to see if I typed something wrong, so I don't see things I don't want to see.

Questions you still have:
- Why don't people realize what the danger of the internet is?
- Why is there sites where people can figure out where you live, what your cellphone number is, and all of those things?

College Exploration on Naviance

Two colleges that I know about and interest me:
- Julliard School of Music
- Berkeley College of Music.

Two colleges I have never heard of but that interest me:
Hartt School of Music
- Indiana University

My GPA:

- Me: 3.2
Berkeley: 3.13
Julliard: 3.0
Hartt School of Music: 3.0
Indiana University: 3.6
In this moment, I'm able to go to Berkeley, Julliard, and Hartt School of Music. If I want to go to Indiana University, I have to raise my GPA 0.4 points more. Also if I want to go to any school of music, I have to take music/singing classes.

What I learned/ how it will affect my habits as a student:

- I learned that from now on, now that I'm in high school, I have to work a lot harder than last year. It counts much more if I want to enter a good college. It will affect me because I'm not that good at doing homework. I'm very lazy, but either way, I do them. I need to stop having that habit and start getting more responsable.

Google 20% Day 3

Goals:
1. Finish putting out project together
2. Edit the parts where we cloned ourselves (the lighting doesn't look good)
3. Green screen had a weird spot, we need to fix that.
4. We overlapped some images. When we did this the pictures looked different. We also have to fix it.

Links:
-Today we didn't use many links, since it was the last day and we needed to edit our video. But, the links we did use were:
Overlapping images
- Green screen
- Cloning

Evidence:
- We took a picture of what we are going to do to fix our overlapping project.

One thing you want to learn next Google day:
- On this Google 20% project, we learned a lot of cool stuff. We learned a lot of skill on how to work with imovie. It is actually really easy and helpful. You don't think it will be because it is a very advanced tool. I never thought it would be easy to manage it, but now that i learned how to use it, it is so helpful.

Google 20% Day 4

Goals:
1. How to change the color of video on imovie.
2. How to use imovie and sync songs to lip sync.
3. How to properly work with green screen.

Links:
How to change the color of video on imovie.
How to use imovie and sync songs to lip sync.
How to properly work with green screen.

Evidence:
- Today I learned how to change the color of the video on imovie. It is extremely simple. So first you take a video of yourself or whatever you want. After that, you import your video to imovie and clip, trim, lighten and do all the things you want to do with it. When you've got your video ready, you double click on a clip. A small window will appear. At the top, it will say clip, video, and audio. There you click on video, and some bars and color will appear. There, you just increase/decrease the saturation, exposure, contrast, and brightness. Then, you can also increase and decrease the red, green, and blue grain. You can choose whatever you want to do with your video. After you're done editing that, you're totally done. You just have to publish your video.
- I also learned how to use imovie and sync songs to lip sync. This is a little more complicated. First you take a video of someone singing. It can be any person. When you video tape it, you let the ,music play while the person is singing. Once you've imported your video to imovie you can start editing. So, when you start editing, the first thing you need to do is put the song on top of the video, even if the words of the song don't match with what the person is singing  Then you need to trim the song. When you've done this, you cut and trim you video so it fits with the words. When you've done this, you're done!
- The last thing I learned today is how to properly work with green screen. It doesn't matter if you don't have a green screen. You can make a really cheap one with green paper. There is instructions on YouTube on how to make one. When you've made it or gotten the green screen ready, you can start working. You make a video of the background you want to have behind you. You put the video and then take a video of you doing whatever you want. After that, on imovie, you put yourself on top of the background.

One thing you want to learn next Google day:
- Next class I don't want to learn anything. What I want to do is to finish applying everything I've learned, to the video. We'e already made the video. Now we have to edit it and finish it. It will seem very professional with all we have learned already.
